teppanyaki lunch at Seryna Steak Dome in Yokohama

I love meat especially when it comes to teppanyaki (鉄板焼き)! So I was excited to go to Seryna Steak Dome (横浜 瀬里奈 ステーキドーム) for lunch in Yokohama (横浜). It had been awhile since we last came, and I had only been here for dinner.

We sat at the end of the table.  By the time we got to Yokohama I was starving and ready to eat! We glanced at the menu and quickly decided on Course B. It began with a small aperitif of Plume Wine or Ume Shu (梅酒) .  It was refeshing. But I was definitely ready for my food.

I’m so glad our salad came out quickly. It was a brightly colored, crisp and dressed with a sesame seed dressing.

Next, out came our Sirloin Steaks and Grilled Veggies (焼野菜) that accompany it.

The chef grilled our bean sprouts and onions and flavored them with soy sauce as our steak was being cooked.

Time to move on to our Wagyu Sirloin Steak (和牛サーロインステーキ). It was beginning to smell really good. I was more then ready to sink my teeth into some quality meat! Our chef cut the meat into bite sized pieces.

Our steak was served with onions and two types of sauces. It was fantastic!

Here’s an even closer look! I can taste the meat melting in my mouth. Yum!photo 9

You have a choice of Garlic Rice (ガーリックライス) or white rice. Boo-chan and I both chose garlic rice. It was filled with fresh garlic slices that were grilled on the Teppan and tossed with soy sauce. This was a very flagrant bowl of rice.

We were also given red miso soup (味噌汁). I prefer white miso over red, but it was still good. The red miso has a stronger fuller flavor, but it was a good match with our garlic rice.

Last we were also give some Japanese pickles (香の物). I love Japanese pickles.

We finished eating this gratifying meal and tried to settle our stomachs. In the mean time, the waitress cleared our plates and we were escorted to the lounge area where we could enjoy our coffee. The coffee cups were adorable.  The coffee was strong and fragrant.

After we were done relaxing and talking, we left with our stomaches full,  feeling contend and happy. The power of good food! So when was the last time you felt happy after a meal? Do you ever eat steak for lunch?
