dinner at Cinagro (Seibu Department Store)

My Mama and I were having a girls shopping day in Shibuya. The weather was rainy, so we knew we wanted to be inside. We headed to Seibu Department Store. We had walked so much we getting tired, and wanted to eat something light.  So we headed to the basement to an organic restaurant called Cinagro Oraganic Kitchen & Market (シナグロ 西武渋谷 ).

I had never eaten here so I was excited to try something new, and to finally relax my feet. The restaurant is in the middle of the B2 floor and has a small organic market. We sat down and quickly decided on the ladies course (レディースコース).  It includes an assortment of antipasto, your choice of pasta, fish or meat, and the dessert of the day, followed with coffee or tea.

Our antipasto had 5 different varieties. As this restaurant is famous for their organic veggies it reflected in their menu. I liked the maitake mushrooms with balsamic vinaigrette the best. photo 3

We were thirsty and water just wasn’t cutting it, so we asked them to bring our Ice Herb Tea right away. It was organic also. They also severed us warm bread with organic olive oil.

My mama had a butter roasted wild white fish with pesto and tomato sauce. The skin was cripsy and the fish was tender. I had a small bite. photo 5

I felt like a pasta, but wanted it to be on the healthy side. So I ordered a Japanese style oil based  maitake mushroom pasta. It was topped with shredded nori. It had a simple yet satisfying taste. photo 6

To end things, their dessert of the day was Panna Cotta. It was creamy and delish! I had heard that their lunch was very popular and had a salad bar, so next I will definitely come here for lunch!photo 7

Dinner was quick, and gave us enough time to rest our tootsies. We enjoyed our meal and it gave us our second wind to hit the shops again!  So where do you like to stop for a quick easy dinner? Any organic places you go to?
